POSITION SUMMARY: Facilities/Maintenance Manager
The Shreveport Aquarium's mission is to educate, inspire, and entertain guests while promoting community sustainability. The Facilities Manager plays a vital role in making sure that the facility stays neat, clean and in tip-top condition, by ensuring that the necessary repairs and maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities

Performing minor fixes such as drywall repair, painting, caulking, roofing etc.

Performing minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs

HVAC/ plumbing/ electrical maintenance

Installation of appliances and equipment
-
Creating maintenance and repair logs
-
Creating preventative maintenance programs
-
Coordination with subcontractors and staff members on special projects

Assistance with special event décor installations
REQUIREMENTS
-
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
-
Experience using hand and electrical tools.

Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.

Very good communication and interpersonal skills

Physical stamina and dexterity

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to pass a background check
COMPENSATION
-
Full time, salary $45,000 - $50,000, depending on experience

Eligibility for annual performance bonuses
