2026 SUMMER CAMP
Scales & Tails: Reptiles of Louisiana and Beyond
Step into the world of snapping jaws, armored shells, and amazing cold-blooded survival skills! In Scales & Tails, campers will meet snakes, turtles, lizards, and crocodilians from Louisiana and around the globe. Through hands-on experiments, up-close encounters, and creative challenges, they’ll discover how reptiles thrive using camouflage, shedding, powerful jaws, and temperature regulation.
From swamp-dwelling gators to desert reptiles across the world, campers will explore how these incredible animals adapt to diverse habitats, and why they play such an important role in healthy ecosystems.

Apex Alliance: Top Predators of Aquatic Ecosystems
Dive into the world of nature’s most powerful hunters. Apex Alliance delves into the science behind sharks, alligators, and other top predators that keep aquatic ecosystems in balance.
Campers will investigate predator-prey relationships, explore incredible sensory adaptations, and take on interactive challenges that reveal how these animals survive and thrive at the top of the food chain. Along the way, they’ll discover why apex predators aren’t just fierce… they’re essential.
This camp blends STEM exploration with high-energy discovery as campers uncover what it really means to rule the ecosystem.

River to Reef: Aquatic Ecosystems from Freshwater to the Ocean
Follow the journey of water from Louisiana’s bayous to the vibrant coral reefs of the open ocean. In River to Reef, campers will explore freshwater, estuarine, and marine ecosystems while discovering how all aquatic life is connected.
Through immersive activities and hands-on science investigations, campers will uncover how plants, animals, and even people depend on healthy waterways. From swamp species to reef dwellers, this camp highlights biodiversity, conservation, and the powerful connection between habitats near and far.
