Members Movie Night: A Plastic Ocean
The award-winning documentary A Plastic Ocean brings to light the consequences of our disposable lifestyle. We thought we could use plastic once and throw it away with impact to humans and animals. That turns out to be untrue. An international team of adventurers, researchers, and ocean ambassadors go on a mission around the globe to uncover the shocking truth about what is truly lurking beneath the surface our seemingly pristine ocean.
All waterways eventually lead to the ocean, so it is important for all of us to be mindful of the impact these plastics can have. We hope you’ll join us as we take a look at some of the challenges our environment is facing and see some of the exciting solutions that are gaining momentum. This movie is not rated but we recommend it for ages 10 and up. Taco bar is included and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
