Conservation Krewe
Who Are They?
The Conservation Krewe is a self-organized group of Shreveport Aquarium employees that encourage and promote environmental consciousness within the organization. The Conservation Krewe seeks to create a cultural shift in environmental awareness within the organization's employees through leading by example, education and promoting behavior change.

This team of staff from all departments meets regularly to discuss and promote environmental initiatives while motivating other employees. They work together to develop programs, policies, and procedures that help the Aquarium meet its sustainability targets while monitoring its operations to find room for improvement on an ongoing basis.
They volunteer in community awareness events, cleanups and beautification projects. Our Conservation Krewe were instrumental in the development of our Pollinator Garden, built in 2019!
